The meeting was held at the request of the Chinese party. The participants of the meeting called for boosting inter-parliamentary dialogue between Ukraine and the People´s Republic of China.
Oleh Bilorus briefed on the political situation in Ukraine, answered the questions, and informed about foundation of a deputy group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on inter-parliamentary liaison with the People´s Republic of China.
The committee chair hopes that such bilateral meetings "will facilitate stable relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries, as well as improve Ukrainian-Chinese relations, and boost the inter-state political dialogue by exchange of visits between the committees, commissions and inter-parliamentary groups of friendship, which confirms that the parties are willing to extend bilateral practical cooperation in the fields of mutual interest."
Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress of the People´s Republic of China Zhou Shengtao stated that the Chinese party is ready to cooperate on the parliamentary level and develop cooperation in the sphere of science and technology.
The parties called for implementing the reached agreements and looking for new promising spheres of cooperation such as development of cultural contacts, promotion of cooperation between educational establishments and student exchange programs.
